3rd Annual Dutch Parkinson Scientists Congress

November 2nd and 3rd, 2023 – Nijmegen

On Friday November 3rd (9:00-17:30), the annual Dutch Parkinson Scientists congress shall be held at the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen. The congress is specifically intended for researchers in the field of Parkinson’s disease. The theme for this year’s annual congress, prevention from prodromal to palliative, follows the public discourse on eliminating Parkinson’s disease’s inherent adversity from the general population. Prevention has a broad scope, ranging from the earliest prodromal stages until palliative care. The programme includes a keynote by Thomas Foltynie (UCL), presentations of promising research by various Dutch research labs, discussions with patient researchers, as well as poster presentations by researchers displaying their projects.

On Thursday November 2nd, all junior DPS members are welcome in Nijmegen for the junior pre-congress. The day will include a workshop on effectively communicating your scientific findings to individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their spouses. Following the workshop, we will gather for a delightful dinner at “De 4 Heeren” restaurant, conveniently located at Sint Annastraat 259 in Nijmegen, near the congress venue. This dinner is open to all DPS members. In case you still want to join dinner on Thursday (at a cost of €32,50), please contact anouk.vanderheide@donders.ru.nl.
