Pre-Conference by junior DPS in Leiden

The Junior Dutch Parkinson Scientists committee would like to invite you to join the pre-conference on Thursday October 30.Do you sometimes struggle to make your research easy to understand and accessible to everyone? Then this event is for you! We invite The Online Scientist to provide a workshop that will make your science sexy. The focus of the workshop is how to design an infographic of your work for a general audience. Right after the workshop, there is a special ‘meet the professor ‘ session with our keynote speaker, Filip Scheperjans! We will talk with him about topics such as balancing clinical and research work, starting your own company, and doing research projects abroad. This is your chance to gain career insights from a true expert in the field, ask your burning questions, and get inspired by his passion and innovation.

After the pre-conference, everybody is invited to join for dinner in the city centre of Leiden. The costs for the dinner are already included in the price for the conference.

12:30 – 13:00    Walk-in with coffee (lunch not provided)
13:00 – 13:10    Opening by jDPS committee
13:10 – 16:40    Design workshop including coffee break
16:40 – 17:40     Meet the professor, with keynote speaker Filip Schperjans
17:40 – 18:00     Walk to restaurant
18:00 –                   Dinner (optional, included in the price of the conference)

The pre-conference will take place in the LUMC main building (albinusdreef 2 2333ZA Leiden), Route 554, Room J-01-11
